Though Kathleen has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She is survived by: her husband Michael Sands; her son Anthony Sands (Elizabeth Baginski); her grandchildren, Angelyse and Edwin; her sisters, Carol Dutka (Alexander) and Patricia Comiskey (Thomas); and also Shawn (Annie).
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Mitruska Funeral Home (23 Ford Ave, Fords, NJ 08863). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 9:15 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Helena Catholic Church (950 Grove Ave, Edison, NJ 08820). A graveside service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the St. Gertrude Cemetery (53 Inman Ave, Colonia, NJ 07067).
