Cathleen Baptista Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cathleen Baptista of Edison, New Jersey, born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, who passed away on March 22, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren Saunderson and Eleanor Saunderson-Chiera; her stepfather Joseph Chiera; and her brother Thomas Saunderson. She is survived by: her husband Amadeu Baptista; her siblings, Russell Saunderson (Cathy Cacchione-Saunderson), Warren Saunderson, Jr. of Edison, Cindy Lillis and Chris Almasy; and her Basset Hound "Chairman of the Board".
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mitruska Funeral Home (23 Ford Ave, Fords, NJ 08863). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the Our Lady of Peace RC Church (620 Amboy Ave, Edison, NJ 08837). A graveside service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. James Cemetery.
