She was predeceased by: her husband Cornelius H. Matthews; her son Neil Matthews; and her brother David J. Brower. She is survived by: her daughter Patricia Verrone; her daughters-in-law, Maureen Matthews of Lavallette and Sally Maloney of Lakewood; and her grandchildren, William J. Nutley of Freehold, Robert Nutley (Ashley) of Mt, Dianne Karcanes (Lou) of Glen Rock, Edward J. Matthews of Lakewood, Thomas J., Ann Marie Matthews of Tinton Falls, Alexis L. Matthews-Lehmann of Fishersville, VA and Emily W. Matthews of Lavallette.
