He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Scangarella; his daughter Mary Ann Germann; and his sister Anna. He is survived by: his children, Helen "Chicky" Bongiovanni (Larry) and John J. Scangarella (Sharon); his grandchildren, Scott, Deana, Caryn, Maryanne, Nicholas and Jamie; his great grandchildren, Tatiana, Kassidy and Amelia; and his siblings, Philip, Tom, Jack, Joe and Jean.
