It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Brooks of East Orange, New Jersey, born in Farmville, Virginia, who passed away on February 24, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Brooks and Ethel Rucks (Brooks); and his siblings, Eddie Brooks, James Brooks, Percel Brooks and Betty Brooks.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita Brooks; his children, Christopher Lee (Joanna) of Humble, Tonya Lee and Paulette Brooks; his grandchildren, LaQuinn King, Corey Melvin (Stacey), Christopher Lee Jr. (Janice), Jo'von Lee, Ke'ira Ards, Shane Sam and Johanna Sam; his great grandchildren, Alexis, Cadence, Carter, Brandon, Dynasty, Peyton, Kyra, Avery and Layla; his great great grandchild Kahlani; and his sister Pauline Carter.
David partnered up with the local churches in the community who received state funded food donations.
