She is survived by: her husband Phillip Taylor Huffine; her pet Mo Mo; her daughter Rachel; her siblings, Pat, Jack, Dan, Tom, Janet, Ann and Jimmy; and her mother Ann Riordan Buckelew.

In lieu of flowers, Joan and her family have requested donations be made to either Social Tees NYC (https://socialteesnyc.org) or the Los Angeles Humane Society.
