He was predeceased by: his parents, Diamatino Dias Pereira and Filomena Almeida Pereira. He is survived by: his wife Dr. Monica Cavanagh of Monroe Township; his children, Walter D. Pereira, Jr. (Eva) of Monmouth Junction and Laura Silva (David) of California; his granddaughters, Sabrina and Stephanie; and his brother Diamantino Pereira Jr. of Howell.
