She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Henry Haines and Leah Frye Haines; her husband Douglas Thomas; her children, Williams M. Harp, Dierdra Schafer (Douglas) of Belleville, Andrera Holmes of Florida and Felicia L. Thomas-Ash (Horace Ash) of Dunellen; her sister Beverly Ware; and her niece Lisa Lawson of Manchester. She was also cherished by ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren.
