He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Portanova and Anna Portanova; his wife Margaret; his daughter Doreen Vallone; and his son-in-law Paul Batson.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Portanova, Matthew Portanova, Leann Batson and Karen O'Connell; his siblings, Peter Portanova and Joanne Dlugozima; his grandchildren, Anna, Evan, Ethan, Ella, Lynze, Ericka, Adam, David and Clayton; his great grandchildren, Eddie, Hunter, Fisher and Jace; and his children-in-law, Emily Portanova, Margie Portanova, David Vallone, CJ Bunting and Steven Knight.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bridgewater Funeral Home (707 E Main St, Bridgewater, NJ 08807). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
