With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Thomas M. McDermott of Dumont, New Jersey, born in New York, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his wife Marie; his sister Cathleen Tomasello; and his grandchildren, Danielle Scott DePerto (Anthony) and Robert Portillo. He is survived by: his children, Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. and Debbie Portillo; and his grandchildren, Anthony Scott DePerto, Jr., Audrey Scott DePerto and Vincent Scott DePerto.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service (1151 River Rd, New Milford, NJ 07646). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Mary's Church (280 Washington Ave, Dumont, NJ 07628). A burial was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the George Washington Memorial Park (234 Paramus Rd, Paramus, NJ 07652).
