He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lawrence Gittings of Birmingham and Agnes Stevenson (Nancy) of Glasgow, Scotland.; his wife Sandra Brennan; his daughters, Claudia Von Savage (David), Andrea Smith (Craig) and Amy Williams (Karl); his stepsons, Thomas and Eric Mertz; his grandchildren, Maddie (John Maloy), David, Jackson, Kate Von Savage, Charlotte, Chloe, Christopher Smith, Katarina, Ethan, Christian and Phillip Williams; his stepgrandchildren, Morgan, Matthew, Stevie Rae and Tyler Mertz; his great grandchild Scarlett; his former wife Janice; and also, Rose Marie and Theresa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Avow Hospice of Naples or the Salvation Army.
