She is survived by: her pet Oliver; her husband Jeffrey Lyons; her children, Cara Large (Andrew) and Andrew Lyons; her father Ara Pekmezian; her brother Gregg Pekmezian; her nieces and nephews, Lisa (Alvin), Jennifer (Adam), Thomas, Christopher and Charles; and her cousins, Louis, John, Paul, Matt, Sal and Paula.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the family for a memorial in Joan's name, which will be decided at a later date.

“Joan, she was special, kind, thoughtful, pretty & creative. I wasnt there on Saturday but I was hurting at my home. Like my friends of Joan its hard to believe this really happened to her. I had the opportunity to video chat with her in November, she stated she really loved seeing me when we ended the conversation, she told me to Take Care. I miss her very much and we all know she is with Jesus and her Mom. Family of Jeff, Cara & Andrew, you are in my thoughts and Im here for you if needed.”
