He was predeceased by: his brothers, Thomas and William. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Mary Anne Hackett, Jimmy (Cathy Whelan), Linda (Tony Joyce), Galway, Ireland, Billy (Katie Whelan) and Thomas (Lisa Whelan); his grandchildren, Jimmy, Laura Joyce, Brendan, Mary, Elizabeth Hackett, Christina, Marisa, Tara, Emily, John, Luke, Grace, Jessica, Alex, Kayla and Abigail Whelan; and his sister Helena. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
