It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gary J. Winkel of Dumont, New Jersey, born in Englewood, New Jersey, who passed away on January 7, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elise Winkel and William Winkel; and his sister Joan VonDoehren. He is survived by: his wife Denise; his sons, Brian Winkel (Kaitlyn) and Joseph Winkel (Brianne); his grandsons, Lucas, Brody, Jake and Austin; his siblings, Bill Winkel (Marilyn), Lynn Palefsky (Ira) and Lori Vincent (Skip); his stepsiblings, Jim VonDoehren (Jennifer) and Rae Von Doehren (Cindy); his siblings-in-law, Barbara Cardo, Peg Challener and Tim Challener (Monica); and his close friends, Kevin and Regina Gynegrowski. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Gary's memory to the Dumont PBA or Dumont Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
