He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Bowden and Mary Bowden; his wife Joann; his children, John (Ana De Jesus) and Joanna (Mark Frenzel); his grandsons, Diego, Alexander and John Wayne; and his siblings, Bill (MaryAnn) of Coram and Kathie Joseph (Vincent) of Lords Valley. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, and friends.
