He was predeceased by: his brother Joseph. He is survived by: his wife Irene; his son Robert (Mary) of Randolph; his grandchildren, Jill Clapp (Griffin) of Chester and Erica Solecki (Stephen) of Stanhope; his siblings, Josefine Dorn, Renate Then and Robert of Germany; and his great grandchildren, Finn Clapp and Jake Clapp.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
