He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John F. Killmeyer I and Margaret Lenze; his wife Joanne Marie Zwergel; his child Mom; his close friend Russ; his daughter Lynnelle Mahtociqala; his brother Ralph James Killmeyer; his friend Ralph Schocher; his children, John F. Killmeyer, III (Kathleen), Jodianne Alise Killmeyer and Todd John Killmeyer (Jordan); his son-in-law Ronald Mahtociqala; his grandchildren, Jenny Vieira, Danny McManus, Katielynn Mahtociqala, Lxs Mahtociqala, Hudson John Killmeyer and Beckett Austin Killmeyer; and his caregiver Stephen Washington.
