Michael Parker wrote a sympathy message

“Mrs DeVenezia was my favorite teacher at Parsippany High School, class of 1985. She was tough as nails, yet kind and the very best teacher one can ask for. I was fortunate to have for three separate classes my 4 years at PHS. She was instrumental in making me the best student possible, and taught me creative writing, which I pursued as an undergraduate in my college years. Rest In Peace, Mrs. DeVenezia. I adored you. Much love to her family. —Michael Parker”
