He was predeceased by: his brother Michael Ashton; and his uncle James Spross (Kathy). He is survived by: his parents, John J. Ashton Sr. and Patricia M. Ashton; his sibling Caitlin Ashton; his grandmother Anna Ashton; and his aunts and uncles, Joseph Ashton (Denise), Robert Spross (Eileen), Anne Ashton, Kathy Linden (Dennis), Nancy Barr Cathy Ruth (late James) and Bernadette Edelstein (late Phil). He is also survived by his many cousins and friends.
