He was loved and cherished by many people including: his brothers, Charles McLaughlin (Madeline), Joseph McLaughlin and Arthur McLaughlin (Phyllis).

In lieu of flowers John's family requests that donations be made in his name to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
