He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Lavery and Edwardand Martha McCourtney Lavery; and his brothers, Edward Lavery and Gilbert Lavery. He is survived by: his wives, Judy and Judith; his children, Alan T., Laura, Timothy F., Tamara, Amy C., Bill Zuccarello, Matthew A. and Kimberly; his granddaughters, Keeghan, Shea and Flynn; his stepgrandchildren, Juliana Zuccarello and Gregory Zuccarello; his nieces and nephews, Edward Ellen (Mary), Sean, Charlotte Richardson, Megan Smith and Melissa Gorla (Joe); his sister-in-law Charlotte Lavery; his great-nieces and great-nephews, James Richardson, Jacqueline Saboka, Patrick, Martha, Joseph, Christopher, Vincent Gorla, Bryan, Michael, Daniel Lavery, Benjamin, Ian, Maggie and Samuel Smith; and his son David Fry. He is also survived by four great grandnieces and one great grandnephew.
