He was predeceased by: his wife Elsie E. Shinn. He is survived by: his sons, Henry and David; his daughter-in-law Linda Shinn; and his grandchildren, Jonathan, Cody, Priscilla, Joshua, Deanna, Samuel, Brianna and Luke. He is also survived by great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
