She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Joseph Gardner and Marie Gardner (Ammerman); her husband Joe Szark, Jr. of Cresskill, NJ; her children, Joe Szark III (Krista) of Cranford, NJ and Joelle Maier (Steve) of Cresskill, NJ; her brother Bob Gardner; her grandchildren, Jon, Will, Maddie, Emma and Lily; her nephews, John Gardner (Meg) of Stewartsville, NJ and Glen Gardner of Point Pleasant, NJ.; her brother Jack Gardner; and her sister-in-law Carol.
