He was predeceased by: his parents, James Smith and Mary Ellen Smith; and his siblings, Margaret (Fitzgerald), Kathleen (Butler) and John.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kelly Smith (Frank Brittain), Jean Smith-Gilmour (Jim Gilmour) and Michele Smith Reinke (David Reinke); and his grandchildren, Sarah, Nolan, Maggie, Kate (Jean), James and Will (Michele). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
A wake will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home (161 Washington Ave, Dumont, NJ 07628). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Therese of Lisieux Church (120 Monroe Ave, Cresskill, NJ 07626).
