He was predeceased by: his wife Esther Louise Bennett; his children, Ward Bennett, III and Delynne Gonsalves; and his siblings, Tom Bennett, Josie Burns and Barbara Arnold.
He is survived by: his children, Edward Dunne, Duane Bennett, Dean Bennett and Michelle Dickerson; and his sisters, Patricia Pettincki (Nick) and Doris Pullen (Joe). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
