He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Salko and MaryAnn Salko. He is survived by: his wife Diane Salko (Swirk); his son Matthew Salko; and his siblings, Donna Griffith (Mike) of Ohio, Marilyn Salko (Rich) of Florida and Robert Salko of New Jersey.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Saul Colonial Home (3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Township, NJ 08690). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of the Assumption (28 Monmouth Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08562).
