He was predeceased by: his parents, John Beirne and Jean Beirne; and his brothers, John and Eugene "Pete". He is survived by: his wife Rose Marie; his children, Michelle Massoni (Tom), William Beirne (Victoria), Bradford Beirne (Christine) and Brian Beirne; his grandchildren, Erin Baker (Jim), Kailyn, Justin, Anthony, Gianna, Tyler, Lexi, Ryan and Brooke; his great grandchild Mia (MiMi); and his siblings, Maryann Martin and Daniel Beirne (Betty Jane).

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital in William's name.
