He was predeceased by: his former wife Janet A. Lewis. He is survived by: his daughters, Desiree Joseph (Gerard), Denise Lewis and Danielle Lewis-Thompson (James); his grandchildren, Cassandra, Sierra, Jessica, Daniella and Pierre; his sister Rev. C. Victoria Brown; his brothers-in-law, Robert A. Brown, Sr. and Brian Williams (Nadia); his nieces, Kinshasa "Sasha" Lee Brown and Olivia Perry; his nephew Robert Brown, Jr.; his mother-in-law Cynthia Williams; and his sisters-in-law, Cheryl Williams-Linton (Davey) and Roxanne Williams-Jordon (Gary).
