He is survived by: his wife Meghan; his son Mauricio; his parents, Maria Helena and Acacio Vilela; his sister Sonia Vilela (Pete Cavaleiro); his niece Leah Cavaleiro; his parents-in-law, Edward and Phyllis Carney; his sister-in-law Erin VanDeWater (Scott); and his nieces and nephews, Bridgette, Ryan and Charlie.
