It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold Fredrick Maurer Jr. of Cranford, New Jersey, born in Englewood, New Jersey, who passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Grace; his friend Harold; his children, Maureen E. McCarthy of Cranford, NJ and Harold J. Maurer of Hillsdale, NJ; his grandsons, William Joseph McCarthy IV, Kevin Patrick McCarthy and Ryan James McCarthy; and his sister Ginnie Flemming (Tom). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Dooley Funeral Home (218 N Ave W, Cranford, NJ 07016). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael's Church (40 Alden St, Cranford, NJ 07016).
