It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Mary Kennedy Coogan of Cranford, New Jersey, born in Orange, New Jersey, who passed away on January 21, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Kennedy and Eleanor; her granddaughter Elizabeth Reuning; her brother-in-law Thomas J. Coogan Jr.; and her nephew Thomas Kennedy.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Coogan Wyle (Christopher) of Palm City, Jeanne Coogan of Metuchen, Mary Coogan (Stephen Reuning) of Millstone Township, Ellen Coogan (Greg Barnes) of Green Bay, Anne Coogan (Gary Meisch), John R. Coogan, Jr. (Michele Germann) of Freehold and Katherine DuPont (Joseph) of Highlands; her grandchildren, Melissa, Tim, Amy Wyle, Brien (Caroline), Meredith Rocha, Winston Reuning (Dana), Alison Acevedo (Silvio Dantas), Kelsey, Sean Meisch, Kaitlyn Miller (Michael), Corinne Ferraris (Matthew) and Eva Rose DuPont; her great grandchildren, Anastasia, Nicholas, Harrison, Emerson and Sophia; her husband Jack Coogan; her siblings, Ruth Kennedy of Hackensack and Charles "Chuck" Kennedy of Parsippany; and her nieces and nephews, Debra Kennedy, Kathleen Kennedy Hall, Michael Kennedy (Lisa) and Joseph Kennedy (Stephanie Gottschalk). She is also survived by great nieces and nephews and their children, and many devoted friends.
