With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles L. Hardwick of Cranford, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 19, 2025 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Charles L. Hardwick to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hardwick and Lucy Hall Hardwick. He is survived by: his former wife Patricia Johnson Hardwick; his grandson Chuck, Jr.; his grandchild-in-law Sheilagh Mylott; his siblings, Joseph Hardwick, David Hardwick and Fannie Feltner; his sister-in-law Evelyn Hardwick; his son-in-law Steven Lapidus; his wife Sheilagh Mylott; his children, Ginger Hardwick, Chuck Hardwick, Jr. (Helen Dao) and Austin Hardwick; his grandchildren, Jake Lapidus, Sarah Lapidus and Ben Lapidus; and also Austin.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 12:00 PM at the Royal Poinciana Chapel (60 Cocoanut Row, Palm Beach, FL 33480). A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Fairview Cemetery (1100 E Broad St, Westfield, NJ 07090).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation in his name to Royal Poinciana Chapel, Place of Hope, or Doctors Without Borders.
