It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bartley P. Carlson of Cranford, New Jersey, born in Jersey City, New Jersey, who passed away on April 26, 2023, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his close friend Jean Ewing; his brother Don Carlson Sr. (Marylou); his nephew Don Carlson Jr.; and his great-nieces, Adrionna, Alexandra and Aubrey.

“I woke up this morning and noticed again the scar on my now bald head. I laughed out loud as I remembered the wound I received while wrestling with Bart on the concrete floor of a gas station. All in good fun … Bart was always fun. I decided to google Bart this morning to see if I could find him - and now I’m saddened by his sudden passing. Bart & I were great friend in High School. He gave me the nickname “Moose” and taught me to drive a stick shift in his VW. - Jeff Martin, Solana Beach, CA”
