He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving and Mary; and his sister Edna Sturm. He is survived by: his wife Maryann; his son Howard (Jackie); his grandchildren, Fiona and Howie; his daughter Becky Michael (Kevin); and his grandsons, Christopher and Nicholas. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
