He was predeceased by: his parents, John Beelis and Mary Wawryk Beelis; his wife Margaret "Peggy" Beelis; and his sister June Bosch. He is survived by: his children, John J. Beelis (Kristin), Rita Marie Beelis and Joseph M. Beelis (Tracey); and his grandchildren, Michael Coccodrilli, Steven Hentosh, Ashley Beelis, Kayla Beelis, Cole Beelis, John J. Beelis Jr., Ryan Beelis, Jaclyn Beelis, Colin Beelis, Sarah Beelis and Logan Beelis. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral (830 N Franklin St, Philadelphia, PA 19123). A Mass was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
