He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Anna of Ireland; his wife Roberta Koch; and his children, Patricia and Jack Jr..

He is survived by: his children, Robin, Terry (EunHee), Julia, Erin and Greg (Ellen); his grandchildren, James, Brian (Kristina), Casey, Tim, Melanie, Jean Claude and Nicholas; and his sisters, Helen, Cathy and Koch.
