He is survived by: his wife Liliam Builes; and his children, Elisa Restrepo, Leon Builes, Liliam Builes, Mario Builes, Alba Lopez, Ligia Builes, Cruz Builes and Luz Angela Edwards. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
