She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerry M. Barner and Eleanor Richardson Barner; her husband Stanley Evonne Sadler; and her brother Donald Barner. She is survived by: her children, Karen Sadler and Blaine Sadler; her daughter-in-law Pamela Sadler (Hairston); her grandchildren, Brittney Sadler-Dawson (Mario), Ryan Sadler (Emely Cruz) and Mehki Sadler; her great grandchild Myles Dawson; and her brother Jerry A. Barner. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
She made significant contributions to her community, serving as a member of the Independent Club of Colonia, the Black Women's History Conference in Plainfield, New Jersey and the Senior Citizens Club of Colonia.
