With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carole Merlo of Colonia, New Jersey, who passed away on August 2, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Breyta and Mary Breyta of Palm Coast, Florida; and her brothers, Raymond Breyta (Dorothy) and Robert Breyta (Valerie). She is survived by: her daughter Susan; her husband Vincent Merlo of Colonia; her daughter Maryann Chaudhry (Amer) of Delran, NJ; her grandchildren, Javera and Hashim; her daughter Janet Cuccaro (Frank) of Long Valley, NJ; her grandchildren, Elyse, Jonathan and Susan Rivera (Roberto) of Somerset, NJ.; and her cousin Barbara Buck (Roger). She is also survived by several nephews, grandnephews and grandnieces.
