With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evelyn Barnett (Closter, New Jersey), who passed away on February 21, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Casey, Jim Horgan, Ashleigh Barnett, Susan Thomson Barnett, Craig Barnett and Karen Reisner; and her grandchildren, Justin, Alexandra, Stephen Skop, Ethan, Emma and Chase.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Temple Emanu-El (180 Piermont Rd, Closter, NJ 07624). A shiva will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A burial will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 8:00 PM at the Beth Israel Cemetery (1098 Woodbridge Center Dr, Woodbridge, NJ 07095).
The family has asked those wishing to donate in Ev's memory to consider donating to the Temple Emanu-El of Edison fund, which will benefit the completion of their new spiritual home.
