He is survived by: his wife Yolanda Payne; his children, Demontre Grant (Paula), Travis Grant (Coretta) of Clinton, Detric Payne of Miami, Roderick Payne and Chanta Payne; his stepson Cedric Butler (Boot); and his siblings, Thomas Payne, Charlie Payne, Ozzie Payne, Ernest Payne of Washington, DC, Martha Boozer (Willie) and Martha Ann Franks.
