Robert G. Sobeck Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 31, 2022, at the age of 95, Robert G. Sobeck of Clinton, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest A. Sobeck and Anita M. Sobeck; his wife Betty A. Sobeck; his son Scott G. Sobeck; and his brother Ernest A. Sobeck, Jr..
He is survived by: his significant other JoAnne Byrnes; his sister Bertha Krull of Aurora, Colorado; his children, Pamela Carroll (John) of Somerset and Robert G. Sobeck, Jr. (Barbara) of Charlottesville, Virginia; his stepson Joachim Byrnes-Shay of Arlington; his daughter-in-law Karen Sobeck; his grandchildren, Betsy Carroll of Poughkeepsie, Susan McCarthy (Kevin) of Somerset, Brian Carroll (Jill) of Fredericksburg, Robert M. Sobeck (Auna) of Somerset, Amy Newsome (Eric) of Charlottesville, Jessica Sobeck of Charlottesville, Kaitlin Sobeck-Kim (Hana) of Chicago, Christopher Sobeck (Liz) of Lake Forest and Steven Sobeck of Connecticut; his nieces and nephews, Declan Byrnes-Enoch, Hannah Byrnes-Enoch, John Sadlik, Claire Byrnes and Julia Byrnes; and also, Judith Byrnes-Enoch, Mary Anne Byrnes, Jeanne Sadlik and John Byrnes. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
Due to the pandemic, there will be a private memorial service in the Spring at a place, date and time to be announced.
