With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Maria Bakalec (Clifton, New Jersey), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Maria left this world on March 25, 2025 at the age of 97, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband Wolodymyr Bakalec; and her sons, Oleh and Roman. She is survived by: her daughter Daria Temnycky (Orest); her grandchildren, Paul, Christina (Paul Hadzewycz) and Nicholas Parker (Erin); her children, Aubree, Bentley and Dennis Parker (Keri); her grandchildren, Athena and Theo; and her aunt Anna Pendzey. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Marrocco Memorial Chapel (470 Colfax Ave, Clifton, NJ 07013). A prayer was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Andrew's Ukrainian Catholic Church (141 Sarah Wells Trail, Campbell Hall, NY 10916). A graveside service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 2:15 PM to 2:30 PM at the Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery (141 Sarah Wells Trail, Campbell Hall, NY 10916).
