He is survived by: his wife Gloria R. Mendez; his daughters, Norma J. Vitale (Rugiero Vitale), Brenda L. Mendez (Steven Robertson) and Glenda E. Mendez (Danny Lofaro); and his grandchildren, Anthony F. Vitale, Rebecca M. Vitale, Alexander Robertson, Bodo, Mishka and Damien. He is also survived by 11 children from his first marriage with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
