He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothea Hacker; and his parents, Frederick Hellar and Edith Hellar. He is survived by: his children, Fred D. Hellar and Deborah A. Goldin (Elliott); his grandchildren, Melissa Goldin-Magee, Katie Goldin and Michael Goldin; and his great grandchildren, Charlotte and Summer Magee.
