He was predeceased by: his siblings, Walter Schmidig, Elsbeth Tater and Doris Runion. He is survived by: his wife Arlene Schmidig; his children, Daniel Schmidig (Jody), Ernest Schmidig, William Schmidig and Dorothy Fensterstock (Martin); and his granddaughters, Nicole Montague and Alyssa Fensterstock.
