She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wasyl and Josephine Wasyl; her husband Fred; her sister Edwina Gum; and her grandson Robert "Robbie" Hrinuk.
She is survived by: her son Fred J. (Elaine) of Springfield, N. J.; her grandchildren, Zachary and Emily; her son Robert (Karen); her grandson Jake of Jacksonville, F. L.; her daughter Arlene Szwed (Michael); her granddaughter Melissa of Darnestown, M. D.; and her pet Ponchi. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
As Claire was a huge animal lover, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Claire's name to St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center (P.O. BOX 159 575 Woodland Ave Madison, NJ 07940) for the care of animals arriving at the shelter during their busy summer months.
