He was predeceased by: his parents, John D. Barksdale and Fannie Barksdale; and his siblings, John L., Ray C. Huer Lee Morris and Emma Wilkies.

He is survived by: his wife Emma Barksdale of Passaic, NJ; his children, Bonair (Bobo), Rahene (Scotty) of Mandrell, AC, Sharlene Mouzone, Tamarita and Michelle; and his siblings, Sammie, Maria Mouzone (John) of Passaic, NJ and Martha Robinson (Johnny) of Passaic, NJ. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
