Barry Strumwasser Obituary

Barry Strumwasser, 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 19 while in hospice care in Plantation, Florida. He was born on January 15, 1940, in Brooklyn, NY. He and his wife Fran lived and travelled all over the world before settling in Plantation, Florida.

Barry is predeceased by his parents, Solomon and Minnie, and his brother Allen Strumwasser and brother-in-law Dr. Mark Feierstein.

He is survived by Fran his wife of 62 years, daughters Julie and husband Danny, Nancy and husband Chris, and his grandsons, Alex, Robert and Sam, who lovingly referred to him as "Bubba". He is also survived by sister-in-law, Elaine Strumwasser and many loving nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Barry was a proud 1961 graduate of Columbia University Pharmacy School and worked as a pharmacist for many years before going on to work successfully in the corporate world for multiple pharmaceutical businesses. Barry also worked as a licensed commercial real estate agent in Florida and then proudly returned to working as a Pharmacist for Walgreens before retiring at the age of 75.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, March 24th at 1:00 PM at King Solomon Cemetery, Clifton, NJ.
