He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick J. Dowd Sr. and Kathleen Dowd (Rogers); his parents-in-law, Julia Savi and Dominick Rocco Savi; his siblings, Gordon Banfield and Thomas Dowd; and his brothers-in-law, Dominick Savi and Kevin Parsells.

He is survived by: his wife Rosemarie Savi; his children, Catrina Davis (Chris) of Union Beach and Melissa Savi-Bonner (Donel) of Parlin; his sisters, Barbara Parsells of Union Beach, Colleen Burns of Brownsmills and Diana Dowd of Petersburg; his grandchildren, Angelica, Isabella, Christopher Davis and Dominic Goss; and his sisters-in-law, Michele O'Brien, Kathy Banfield of Eagle River, Joy Dowd of Myrtle Beach and Kathi Savi of Destin, Florida..
